The group of churches that make up Churches Together in St Ives (CTSI) welcomes you to our town and our website.
Our churches have worked together for over 50 years, celebrating our Golden Jubilee in 2017. We are part of the national and international ecumenical movement to bring Christian Churches together.
We work locally to:
- get to know and understand each other better;
- worship and pray together;
- serve the needs of the local community;
- present a unified Christian message;
- spread the Gospel as directed by Our Lord Jesus Christ to “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole of creation” (Mark 16.15)
POST-COVID UPDATE
Our member churches are getting back to normal after Covid restrictions and problems. For the up-to-date position on individual member churches see their own web sites – the addresses are listed on our CHURCHES page.
CTSI has used its lockdown hibernation to thoroughly review its constitution and programme. In brief we:
- have retained our member churches;
- have cut the meetings and bureaucracy of our joint working;
- only expect to hold one formal meeting per year – our AGM – to consider any major policy issues and approve a smaller programme of CTSI supported activities;
- expect approved activities to be led by one of the member churches with practical support from the others as required. See our ACTIVITIES page for forthcoming and past activities.
