Views of our float in the 2017 Carnival. We gave out leaflets and the pom pom sheep and even some of the balloons and the judges gave us a creditable second place.
The development of the carnival float, from drawings through construction to ready to roll!
Hundreds of pom-pom sheep created by “Knitters and Natters” made their way to Fenstanton URC where they were blessed ready to be given out at the carnival. They could be found perched in all sorts of nooks and crannies around the church. After the service sheep-themed decorated cakes and biscuits were served. Yummy!
The Church in the Market Place gazebo
Taking our place in the market to listen, signpost, help or pray as people request.
Leading up to the 2017 June election a hustings was held in the Methodist church and their minister Matt Finch compered the meeting. The candidates of all 5 main parties were invited and attended. It was a public meeting and questions came from the floor on topics of education, NHS, housing and social care.
